To sustain the impact of training’s Lead India activities, headmaster as Chairman, teachers as Co-Chairman and students as Change Agents “Lead India National Club (LINC)”groups have to be formed in their respective schools. To ignite scientific temper, inculcates human values, and inspires leadership with patriotism and solve the problems of the nation like poverty, Illiteracy, disunity, unemployment etc, these LINC Change agents are divided into six groups.

5. Cultural Group
6. Health & Cleanliness Group

Activities are conducted integrating with school daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually. Competitions are conducted quarterly. Core emphasis is given on how change agents can bring changes in themselves, their families, schools and their communities.

Objectives are:

• Village development is national development.
• Today’s students can change tomorrow’s their family & community poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, corruption etc.
• Capacity building in academics with values and employable and entrepreneurial skills to become 21st century professionals to achieve developed India a global leader.
• Bring transformation at physical, mental, intellectual emotional, social & spiritual levels with values and skills.
• To nurture, individual passion and create innovate self employment opportunities and encourage self development social credits are issued for selected

Sports like Kabaddi, athletics, football, etc from school level to national level to achieve medals in Olympics.

Music, art, anchoring, cultural & literary talents to make their global careers.

Education:

  • Making students to write their life goal in the first page of every note book.
  • Ensuring students to set immediate goal to improve academics in their respective subjects.
  • Making above average students to adopt below average students as buddies to develop them as above average students.
  • Conducting group discussion on the conceptual applications of lessons taught to involve students and improve their subject knowledge, communication skills, leadership, team work etc.
  • Collecting information on academics, science, mathematics, general knowledge and displaying relevant media clips on notice board.

Scientific Development:

  • Developing spirit of inquiry by questioning using 5 W’s and 1H (What, Why, where, when, who and How).
  • Encouraging students to make science models by using low cost- no cost materials to make wealth from waste.
  • Encouraging practical application of the concepts learnt from the text books by assigning related projects/ activities

  • Students can collect required information and make planning ,take teachers and experts guidance strive hard to achieve their goals
  • Conduct career counseling day and guide students to set their goals

  • Provide connectivity with local and Lead India sponsors

Responsibilities of students and teachers:

  • Teachers should guide the students to collect information regarding their goals
  • Making students to understand the rules of school, family and government (like traffic rules, fundamental duties etc.,) and strictly follow rules.
  • Making students to understand the importance of ‘Q’ system and encouraging them to follow it strictly in assemblies, dining halls and wherever group distribution activities take place.
  • Cultivating the habit of leaving slippers in a row wherever necessary.
  • Ensuring regularity, punctuality and 100% attendance.
  • Taking initiation to conduct assembly, CCA activities and maintaining discipline during celebrations, in class room, dining hall, library, study hours, self study and in sports and games.
  • Ensuring careful utilization and protection of school furniture and property (lights, windows etc .)
  • Motivating students to pray God before meals and maintaining silence in dining halls by using food symbols and no food should be wasted.
  • Motivating students to understand the importance of valuable natural resources (power, water etc.,)

Perform Assembly

  • Develop Patriotism, companionship, affection and discipline in students
  • Human Values- acquaint with incidents and implement them with inspiration
  • Speaking on healthy topics improves oral communication and leadership qualities
  • Reading news papers improves social awareness

Activity:

  • Arrange students in the order of heights wise to stand classes wise for assembly
  • Start prayer after giving Lead India greetings three times
  • Make the students to sing “Vandemataram” and say “Lead India pledge”
  • Make the students to say “thought for the day” as per our ABDB quotations.
  • Make the students to share incidents of experiences of practicing on human values
  • Make each student from every class to speak on different subjects
  • Make students to read Telugu and English news papers daily
  • Make students to sing together along with Lead India inspirational songs

Result:

  • Develops discipline
  • Improve companionship, affection and patriotism
  • Improve global knowledge
  • Improve leadership qualities

Responsibilities of Change Agents and teachers:

  • In conducting assembly, students and teachers should have a clear preplan and execution team.
  • Responsibilities should be written in program register before three days and conductors should check that every group is doing their duty perfectly

Thought for the Day

Objective:

  • Write ‘Thought for the day ‘as a slogan, should be read by the students
  • ‘Thought for the day ‘ are based on the moral values of sages,poets,great personalities and also on the Indian culture and tradition on which is read by students in class room and assembly.
  • Thoughts on Aap Badho Desh Ko Badhao aspects should be regular.

 

Activity:

  • Arrange “Thought for the day” on display board in the school, and write an inspiring sentence that can be read by students/teachers/parents daily.

Result:

  • The student gets inspired from the quotes given by personalities which will enable him to change his character and follow the right path.

Responsibilities of students and teachers:

  • The teachers should help out the student to collect educated quotes, inspirational thoughts, so as to lead a pious life
  • Singing Lead India inspirational songs in competitions, assemblies, annual days, group meetings etc.
  • Encouraging students to write and recite creative poems, slogans, advertisements, articles, skits, stories and craft paintings, drawings, poster designing etc. and motivating them to participate in similar competitions
  • Conducting essay writing and debate competitions and encouraging them to improve creative instantaneous oratory skills on given occasions, prepare them as good leaders/anchoress.
  • Conducting cultural activities during Lead India National Club competitions / School annual days etc.
  • Encouraging students to prepare costumes and other required materials for cultural programmers and events from the local available things

Cultural & Literary creative programs

Objective:

  • To create awareness of Indian cultural heritage principles and practices.
  • To inculcate human values among students.
  • Create useful things from waste material
  • To correlate ancient cultural & literary greatness with modern applications creatively.

Activity:

  • Students participate in cultural programs with teachers guidance
  • Skillful students can be selected
  • Conduct cultural programs competitions which are included small dramas, singing, dancing, speaking skills and writing skills.
  • Correlating &using technology for day to day practices.

Result:

  • Creativity can be improved in students
  • Activeness can be improved
  • Learning the utilization of waste material
  • Business skills can be developed by making money with waste material

Responsibilities of Change Agents under:

  • Teachers should guide the students to select proper topics for display
  • Change Agents of the groups should take responsibility to enroll maximum students participate in cultural & literary programs
  • Group leaders should take care of including useful topics in cultural programs
  • Selected topics should create awareness of Indian culture and present problems of the nation by lead India reforming activities

Selecting and conducting innovative sensitizing activities.

  • Insisting everyone to use dustbins for disposal of waste
  • Ensuring Personal Hygiene (regular nail cuts and maintaining hair, nose, eyes, ears, teeth, clothes neat and clean)
  • Making children to wash their hands by applying soap before and after meals and using toilets.
  • Creating awareness among students to pour water after using toilets.
  • Collecting and displaying the paper cuttings / any informative pamphlets concerned to Health and Hygiene on notice board
  • Conducting awareness programmes on HIV/AIDS, cancer and seasonal and epidemic diseases.
  • Maintaining and using first aid box in emergency

Yoga, Pranayama and dhyanam

Objective:

  • Prana shakthi increases through pranayama
  • Life span increases through breathing exercises
  • Personality develops through yoga and asanas
  • Memory power increases through “Dhyaana”

 

Activity:

  • After completion of nature calls, yoga, pranayama, dhyana can be practiced in the early morning.
  • Instead of doing hard asanas, start practice with easy ones
  • Do in open space, thank Pancha Bhutas earth, water, air, sun, Akash. Feel them inside of you only outside of you also.

Result:

  • Health can be improved
  • Stress will be reduced
  • Concentration can be improved
  • Mental peace can be improved

Responsibilities of Change Agents and teachers:

  • Trained Change Agents teach yoga,pranayama to all students in the right manner
  • practice yoga asanas

Sports and games groups should conduct this activity

  • Making students to practice principles of health daily. Motivate every student to select their games like Kabaddi, athletics, foot ball, etc. daily practice and participate in competitions.
  • Ensuring that all students participate and practice Nada Prakriya’ (hearing to a particular sound) in the 1st period to improve concentration.
  • Ensuring the participation of all students in meditation twice a day morning and evening
  • Motivate students to undergo physical development through daily exercise and set their goal
  • Conduct competitions from school level to national level to train & nurture students to win medals and promote their specializations as their global careers.

 

 

Sports & Games

Objective:

  • To lay lifelong foundation of physical, mental, social and spiritual health in students
  • To develop leadership qualities
  • To raise India’s Olympic medals through students.
  • To stop distractions from bad habits and develop spirit of acceptance.

Activity:

  • Make students to play daily
  • Every students should follow the rules of each game they play
  • Use the available place and resources to play selected games.
  • Arrange kits related to their games
  • Follow time constraints and ground measurements

Result:

  • Students can get physically, mentally and socially developed
  • Positive approach and attitude will also develops
  • Leadership qualities can be improved in students
  • Students get healthy

 

Responsibilities of Change Agents and teachers:

  • Change Agents should take care of proper play ground
  • Change Agents make students to form the groups as per games and encourage maximum student’s participation.
  • Along with team leader, everyone should know game rules and regulations
  • Teacher should give game’s equipment and improve healthy and team spirit

 Naada Prakriya

Objective:

  • To improve concentration and remove anxieties, fears etc.,
  • To improve refresh the mind and prepare to receive knowledge
  • To ignite creativity – exuberance

Activity:

  • Students have to be seated in “Dhyana sthithi”. Listen attentively sound of the bell

They listen to the sound of three bells.

  • During yoga, students will participate for 5 minutes in dhyana and concentrate on breathing exercise and pray to their favorite god

Result:

  • Concentration, mental maturity, self control will be improved in students
  • Peace, memory power will be improved
  • Mind will become calm and peaceful.

Responsibilities of Change Agents and teachers:

  • Change Agents should organize for ringing bell
  • Educate students to be attentive and experience concentration.
  • Motivating students to respect their parents and elders, as community starts with family
  • Making students to realize the fact that family development leads to social development.
  • Conducting competitions to save power, water and natural resources.
  • Encouraging each student to teach ten illiterates and adopt buddies in school.
  • Bringing back drop outs, girls, child labor to school.
  • Conducting Lead India “Aap Badho Desh KO Badhao” (ABDB) training to school students & village youth. Establish village LINC’s for village developments.

Self Introspection-Dairy writing

                      

Objective:

  • To implement compare and compete with self.
  • To make students to improve memory power
  • To make students to improve planning and time sense
  • To measure self development continuously.

Activity:

  • Before going to bed, sit in dhyana sthithi, recollect day long activities done from morning to evening. Recall all good and bad things that have been done during day. Then note them in the dairy as per instructions.

Result:

  • Students memory power can be improved
  • Changes come in daily activities
  • Students correct themselves and develops personality
  • Consistent development will happen.

Responsibilities of Change Agents and teachers: Before going to bed do self introspection, observe changes in self and improvements and note down in dairy

                                              Inculcation of Human Values

Objective:

  • To make students realize the impact of practicing Human Values in daily life.
  • To experience how human potential will grow
  • Change themselves, their families & communities to solve corruption etc.,

Activity:

  • To improve human values in students, conduct weekly celebrations of human values in schools every week. For every week, a separate human value can be allotted and discuss about that in all aspects (Like why, what, when, where, how…), change agents should follow that value the whole week. Then share their experiences, and the changes occurred in them.

For example some values of weekly celebrations:

  • Truthful 2.Discipline3.Honesty 4.Courage 5.Love 6.Kindness 7.Respect to elders 8.Service 9.Friendship etc

Ask students to follow every value and share their experiences in assembly.’ Thought for the day’, story, songs, cultural programs and all remaining LINC activities should be related to that value for the whole of the week. Then identify the best student, encourage him with awards

  • Truth, Discipline, Concentration, Responsibilities, Respect towards elders will be carried out by students

Responsibilities of Change Agents and teachers:

Change Agents and Teachers help the students in imbibing the human values and conduct celebrations in the school premises through cultural programs every week.Parents,Polititians,Officers,Symptheizers are invited to these programmes

  • Encouraging each student to plant 10 saplings in the name of mother, father, friend etc., and nurture them as plants for one year (birth day to birth day) to protect environment. For every quarterly they may check up the growth of plants and upload growth.
  • Implementing National Green Corps activities.
  • Maintaining school and surroundings clean Swachh in self ( swacha made Mind swachh)
  • Encouraging students to cultivate fruit and vegetable gardens in a small scale for school consumption (Mid Day meals etc.,) in the available un used land
  • Don’t use plastics

 

Environment protection

                                                                          

Objective:

  • Create sense of responsibility for Swachh Bharat
  • Create awareness and significance of natural resources
  • Students have to spread an understanding about the need to preserve environment at home,locality,neibourhood, and so on
  • Students have to spread messages regarding water conservation, rain water harvesting and to save plants, save power not only in their homes but also to the public

Activity:

  • Conserve water and reuse for plantations etc.
  • Conduct competitions in groups on the related topics as mentioned above
  • Weekend speeches and conduct competitions among students on related topics
  • Organize cultural programs like skit‘burrakata’ on environmental issues
  • Explain and experiments on Bio Gas, sun power, sun stoves etc and show students how to save electric power
  • Encourage students to save environment by plantation.
  • Insist in school premises everyone to use dustbins for disposal of waste
  • Create awareness to keep their surroundings clean and conduct awareness programs on seasonal and epidemic diseases.
  • Save power by switching off fans and lights where it is not required.

Result:

  • Every student should be socially responsible for his surroundings, locality and home.
  • Awareness among students will take place
  • Health, Discipline, Neatness will develop amongst the students
  • Swacha Bharath will sustain from individual level to family, community and the nation.

 

Responsibilities of Change Agents and teachers:

  • Encouraging students to cultivate fruit and vegetable gardens in a small scale for school consumption (Mid Day meals etc.,) in the available unused land.
  • Encouraging each student to plant 10 saplings in the name of mother, father, friend etc., and nurture them to protect environment. For every birthday they may check up growth of plants
  • Teachers have to help students by encouraging them to use the echo friendly bags etc

         Group Discussions

Objective:

  • Students must define what his/her objective in the group is.
  • Attempt to build the right consensus
  • Ensure that you are heard by the group
  • Every student contribution has to be meaningful
  • The quality of what the student say is more important than the quality
  • The group discussion teacher should try and lay down the boundaries or the areas of discussion at the beginning
  • Try to summarize the discussion at the end
  • Keep an eye contact with as many members as possible

Activity:

  • Group Discussions are conducted in a group of 5 or 6 members of a class, and conduct group discussions on a selected topic is given by the facilitator
  • One student should note the discussed points
  • Repeated points can be noted only once and describe every point
  • Take out problems of participants in group discussions
  • Identify solutions for the problems and start working towards them

Result:

  • Knowledge and right way of discussing the topic will be enhanced by the students
  • Communication ,Confidence, Vocabulary and leadership qualities will be added advantage for the students
  • Personality Development takes place
  • Collaborative work ,gathering information will be done by the group

Objective:

  • Communicate your topic to an audience of mixed background interest-speak loud & clear
  • Data should be spoken significantly, and carried out into the minds of audience
  • While using Visual Aids, the speaker should look and talk to the audience ,and not at the visual and visual should be short with simple phases and use time preciously
  • Frequent eye contact with the audience will convey an air of confidence and knowledge ability about the subject matter
  • Minimum amount of information to the audience
  • Understanding of the message from the seminars and go home with some learned
  • Be animated and enthusiastic about your work

Activity:

  • Prepare the topic within the stipulated time
  • Practice alone and with a group, gets a lot of feedback and constructive criticism
  • Seek more information through reading books,publication,magazines etc
  • All students have to participate in the seminars
  • Participants have to jot down points wherever necessary
  • Encourage best students by giving awards through important personalities

Result:

  • Communication skills develop
  • Students will overcome stage phobia
  • Courage,Confidence,of the students will enhance, then to participate in a large frame work

Responsibilities of students and teachers:

  • This activity can be followed by teachers and students.
  • Students assigned for seminars should take the help of parents and teachers for proper understanding of the topic.
